A NEW YEAR !!! 01/12/2011
Christmas is over, we rounded the new year and we survive. Schedules have been set, class begun and now we wait for financial aid ^_^. My internship with the UF News Bureau started yesterday and I'm EXCITED. Even though it, along with my other responsibilities as an upperclassman, leaves me with very little free time, I'M NOT WORRIED. Here is what UF chose http://news.ufl.edu/snapshots/2011/01/12/ My PHOTO-OF-THE-DAY ![]() Junior advertising major Stephanie Parker took the first shift on January 11, 2011 watching over the poster sale at the Reitz Union. "It's freezing," she said, "I wish I had put on more clothes." Add Comment From pirates to Santa Clauses and runners and drivers the parade had it all. Children and their parents went out to witness this annual spectacle. You can view the album via this link. Here is a sample. Over the Weekend. 10/20/2010
My weekend was busy and I'm still sorting and editing photos. So in the mean time . . . enjoy Mudfest. For more Mudfest photos click Mudfest Ellis Amburn 10/18/2010
Awesome writer of the behind the scenes life of Rock 'n' Roll stars, Ellis Amburn visited and spoke to my Rock and Roll in American Society class last week. What a treat. He travels and interviews friends, family and even the stars themselves and in the process getting exclusives that not even "Rolling Stone" can get. Okay, at the risk of sounding like a geeky journalism groupie, I must declare that today at around 11:45 a.m. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Thomas French, now serving as a member of the Indiana University School of Journalism faculty, spoke to a class of about 200 about his experiences as a journalist. He also spoke about his new book "Zoo Story". It was a rare opportunity and an enjoyable one at that. Sports for the First Time 10/07/2010
Okay. So I was finally able to shoot sports. And it was the hardest thing I've ever tried to do with photography. After spending an entire high school football game on my knees on turf I shot over 400 pictures and got about three usable frames. I need more experience doing nighttime photography and a larger faster lens. Daytime sports was a lot easier. Stopping action in daylight is not very challenging. Finally 09/12/2010
I have been working on building my Web site since I returned to Gainesville, Florida from Berlin, Germany. It is finally up and I am finally happy. I hope you enjoy the site and the photos. |
